SKP product guidance

High-Carbon vs Low-Carbon Ferro Chrome

The two product routes differ most clearly in their published carbon limits. The required chrome content, residual limits, size, quantity and delivery conditions should all be specified before quotation.

01

Published high-carbon range

SKP lists 58% and 60% minimum chromium grades. The corresponding published carbon limits are 8.5% maximum and 8% maximum, with different silicon and size references.

02

Published low-carbon range

SKP lists a low-carbon ferro chrome profile with 60% minimum chromium and 0.10% maximum carbon. The published table also identifies silicon, phosphorus, sulphur and size limits.
